This executive leader will oversee teams working with the business and key stakeholders such as Law, Information Security, Analytics, Information Technology and other Corporate Compliance teams to operationalize legal and regulatory requirements, review business unit procedures and training for subject areas, and provide advice and effective challenge related to regulatory and business process changes. \u003Cbr\u003E \u003Cbr\u003E This Vice President will anticipate areas of regulatory focus and have the ability to prioritize and effectively drive results. She or he will manage compliance related regulatory examinations and partner across the enterprise to ensure early self-identification of issues and provide advice in remediation and in building the control environment. Excellent people management skills are necessary to retain and engage a talented team required to mitigate risk across the areas of high regulatory focus. \u003Cbr\u003E \u003Cbr\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003E Responsibilities: \u003C/strong\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Provides strategic and tactical advice to management and across the enterprise relating to privacy and fair lending risks and controls and the compliance management system. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Provides subject matter expertise to the compliance risk assessment team and oversight of risks identified by risk assessment team to ensure adequate controls are in place to mitigate existing risks in the business. Continues to enhance the process to monitor indicators of risk including the development of gap assessment documents for the most complex and highest risk regulations. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Develops and implements the enterprise policy and procedure framework to mitigate fair lending and privacy risk. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Oversees enterprise training plans to ensure employees understand their obligations with respect to fair lending and privacy laws. Advises business units and/or their compliance and risk teams on job-based training to mitigate privacy and fair lending risks associated with business processes. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Oversees the fair lending program, including the review of models, strategies and campaign targeting for fair lending risks. Oversees fair lending statistical testing, including providing guidance on mathematical approaches and regression methodology. Provides advice on use of alternative data and the potential impact of alternative data from a fair lending perspective. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Develops metrics and key risk indicators to proactively identify negative trends and/or potential violations of fair lending and privacy laws, including complaints and risk events. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Reviews and advises on new or revised products and services, business strategies, initiatives, and projects to ensure privacy and fair lending risks are effectively mitigated and tested. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Identifies compliance risks resulting from new or revised laws and regulations, ensures action plans are developed to manage the risks, including effective training, procedures, and other controls. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Interacts with regulatory examiners on a regular basis and oversees exams including providing support to business units regarding relevant regulatory exams and internal audits. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Develops and presents compliance committee reports and assists with board reporting. Chairs and/or serves as a member of other committees or working groups such as Fair Lending, Information Security, Incident Response Team, Data Governance, and Credit Committee. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Partner with technology/analytic and other teams to drive development of complaint analysis solutions including artificial intelligence and machine learning for efficient identification of regulatory compliance concerns. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Partner with Legal to ensure complaints with regulatory compliance concerns are tracked to resolution. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Ensure appropriate interaction with Discover Consumer Complaint team to maintain a strong consumer complaint program that meets regulatory expectations for an effective complaints Compliance Management System. \u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003Cbr\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003E Requirements\u003Cbr\u003E \u003C/strong\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Bachelor\u0027s Degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, JD or related \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Master\u0027s Degree Business, Finance, Risk Management, JD, or related (preferred) \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Degree in mathematics or statistics (preferred) \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E 10\u002B years Bank Consumer compliance, risk management, legal, including people management, risk assessment, fair lending, or related \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E 10\u002B years banking experience, preferably in a regulated consumer compliance position \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E Fair Lending Officer experience, including experience with statistical testing (regression analysis) and the use of alternative data from a fair lending perspective (preferred) \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E CRCM, Certified Information Privacy Professional, or similar subject matter certifications or qualifications (preferred) \u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E #LI-ML2 \u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003E The same way we treat our employees is how we treat all applicants - with respect.
