We are seeking a highly motivated Tactical Planner to join our team. You job will include prioritizing and managing multiple projects and activities simultaneously.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Manage Facilities records; provide assistance with record filing, retrieving, and disposal
+ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of record data, access restrictions, filename conventions, and document and record attributes
+ Formulate database query and retrieval scripts for records; coordinate with corporate database administrators regarding problem resolution and training
+ Support the communication and sharing of Facilities information, inside and outside the Center, using electronic media such as the Facilities website and web-based tools
+ Identify issues and help develop innovative process improvements and system solutions
+ Update information database systems and related information technology applications; maintain reports and metrics.
+ Be a Facilities and Asset Management IT superuser providing programming and system administration support including data entry, creating / improving software interfaces, query development, configuring platforms, supporting CA specific and/or Corporate wide IT improvement efforts and providing technical functionality in EIMS File Net
+ Provide training support to Facilities staff for the following: Maximo, Tririga, BUILDER, Confluence, SharePoint and department websites


+ High school diploma plus 3 or more years of related experience
+ Experience with creating any or all of the following: procedures, forms, checklists, job aides, and reference materials
+ Knowledge in database management, Microsoft Office products, particularly EXCEL.
+ Experience integrating regulatory and corporate requirements into affected databases and work processes.
+ Experience with work flow software.
+ Experience maintaining reports and metrics.
+ Ability to acquire and maintain an L-level DOE security clearance


+ Experience with Sandia information database systems and related information technology applications.
+ IBM Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO) and Facilities Management System (TRIRIGA) or similar software systems.
+ Knowledge of relational IT DBA duties, databases, SQL queries, PHP server-side scripting, HTML and CSS.
+ Effective work prioritization and task execution in a high-pressure environment.
+ Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
+ Functionally in EIMS File Net.
+ Proven ability to work in a team-focused environment and exercise discretion.
+ Willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.

Department Description:

The Partnership and Planning Department supports the mission by establishing long range planning & investment strategies and implementation plans. The team develops and maintains effective strategic customer partnerships and integrates facilities and infrastructure plans into the investment and planning strategies. The team also provides space management, condition, and energy assessments of the facilities and site infrastructure.

Security Clearance:

This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.

Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
