The Global Burst Detector (GBD) Design and Development Department manages next-generation US Nuclear Detonation (NUDET) Detection System (USNDS) payloads that support the United States space-based capability to monitor the earths atmosphere and surrounding space for nuclear events. The department serves as the primary technical interface and System Integrator to the USNDS community for the next generation GBD payload.
