The Radar Systems Department is currently seeking a Sr. Principal Field Engineer to support a classified MSS program. The position will be based in Woburn MA. Office. Frequent international travel is required. Approximately six to eight 10 day duration trips per year to Middle East type locations. Job Description: The highly motivated candidate will join the program leadership team overseeing the operations, maintenance, and sustainment of program assets in varying geographic locations. Leading the planning and execution of all maintenance and troubleshooting efforts, recommending and deploying system upgrades, providing reports briefs of activities to senior program and customer leadership personnel. Training and mentoring team members on the operation and maintenance of the program assets.

Responsibilities include:

Operations and Sustainment Lead directly responsible for the reliability, maintainability, and operability of multiple field sites and test beds in Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
Hardware Lead directly responsible for recommending and implementing system repairs, design upgrades, and improvements.
Deployment Lead for system upgrades and new site construction.
Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans taking into consideration cost, schedule, and long-term program budgets and objectives.
Develop and manage an obsolescence and sparing strategy aligned with long-term program budgets and objectives.
Lead a comprehensive operations and sustainment team, providing subject matter expertise and guidance to program personnel.
Provide mentor-ship and training to program personnel on the operation and maintenance of system hardware and software.
Provide strategic direction to the program regarding long-term maintenance and system life-cycle upgrades; providing critical input to the research, development, and execution of system upgrades and performance enhancements.
Primary interface to the customer community regarding all things related to current and future deployed systems. Directly responsible for all communications and actions necessary to maintain system performance objectives.
Joint Change Control Board Chair, managing sponsor adjudication of change requests.

Required Skills:

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
Minimum of 10 years of proven hands on operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience with complex radar systems and communications networks.
Proven experience with hardware/systems integration planning and execution.
Proven experience managing deployment and fielding of complex military systems.
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision on multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
Proven experience with the tools, RF test equipment and general test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance and test.
Proven experience installing and troubleshooting complex secure communications systems including encryption hardware, firewalls, switches, DISA networks, and military networks.
Proven experience installing and troubleshooting remote monitoring systems.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Proven experience with DoD or Missile Defense Programs
Capable and comfortable briefing high ranking Military officers and DoD personnel
Proven multitasking skills
Proficient with MSOffice applications
Extensive experience operating and maintaining environmental control systems, RF components, computer, and networking hardware
Highly proficient in interpreting technical manuals and technical drawings as they apply to maintenance, troubleshooting, procurement activities
Proficient in the English language, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats regarding technical issues

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related discipline with 10 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 14 years experience or HS Diploma/GED with 18 years of related experience.
