We are seeking a highly motivated IT Solutions Architect to join our diverse team, If you are team oriented and self-driven and are interested in supporting multiple enterprise videoconferencing services across both Sandia Livermore and Albuquerque sites, this may be the ideal job for you!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Architect solutions to solve complex IT problems that span multiple functions(collaboration, infrastructure, security, user experience, etc...)
+ Design, maintain and support videoconference systems and infrastructure
+ Partner with technical peers and customers to address growing demand for video collaboration needs due to growth and social distancing requirements
+ Research, test and develop plans to leverage new technologies that could improve reliability, simplify design or reduce costs of IT video collaboration systems
+ Lead and execute asset lifecycle plan for videoconference systems and related technologies
+ Support and configure videoconference systems with engineered controls to meet security requirements
+ Troubleshoot escalated technical issues that require basic understanding of networking, security, servers and endpoints
+ Track key service metrics to identify improvement opportunities to help predict issues before they occur and/or improve ability to resolve issues when they are reported


+ Bachelors degree in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ 4 years or more years experience with videoconference or collaboration technologies such as Skype, Polycom, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, etc...
+ 5 or more years of experience with enterprise class information systems (including responsibilities such as planning, designing, deploying and maintaining systems)
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE-Q level security clearance


+ Experience with Polycom, Cisco or Teams/Skype design, support and deployments
+ Experience supporting and managing IT systems in a classified environment
+ Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise in complex IT environments,
+ Excellent teaming, interpersonal, time management and communication skills
+ Experience with cloud IT service management
+ Experience with Networking, Firewalls, Proxies, and VPN

The Integrated Video Solutions group provides reliable interactive communications capability that enables Sandians to effectively and securely share ideas, concepts and information. The tools that we support are: videoconference rooms, videoconferencing technologies, desktop videoconferencing and application sharing.

Security Clearance:
