We are seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support mission critical COTS applications such as requirements management, configuration management, software build, and deployment tools. Systems that this position would support could include IBM Rational DOORS, Micro Focus Version Manager (PVCS), and Build & Deploy.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Develop software
+ Develop tests
+ Work collaboratively with architects, developers, technical leads, customers, and end users to collect requirements, develop vision, design solutions, and deliver high quality and easy-to-use software applications.
+ Challenge status quo in process and quality methodologies in software engineering and demonstrate initiative to drive improvements in these areas.

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 5 years' direct experience or 13 years' equivalent experience
+ Experience with deploying and administering commercial off the shelf (COTS) systems in a production environment
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Level clearance

Desired:

+ Degree(s) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
+ Experience in administration and configuration in one of more of the following tools; IBM Rational DOORS, Version Manager PVSC, Open Make Software, and Microsoft Team Foundation Server
+ Experience working with DOORS eXtensiable Language (DXL) and Rational Publishing Engine (RPE)
+ Experience migrating IBM Rational DOORS to DOORS Next Generation or other requirements management tools
+ Experience in Agile development DevOps methodologies
+ Understanding of ITIL and IT Service management best practices
+ Understanding of Cloud Computing
+ Experience in scripting languages
+ Deep understanding and application of change management and configuration management
+ Exceptional customer service skills and experience managing customer interactions

Department Description:

The Lifecycle Management Solutions Department (9352) is responsible for innovation, consulting, development, implementation and maintenance of product lifecycle solutions. Specifically, the department is focused on corporate solutions for configuration management, quality assurance, systems engineering, product and process engineering - all aspects of product lifecycle management.

Security Clearance:
