The Senior Project Engineer is a member of the Womack Systems Team reporting directly to the Director of Systems. The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the development of initial system/component requirements and specifications; performing calculations (e. g. pressure drop, flow analyses, heat loads, stress analysis); developing and improving fluid system designs; developing/reviewing system schematics and drawings; material and equipment selections; resolving emergent design and construction issues; managing system interfaces; developing system operating instructions, test forms and maintenance procedures. The Project Engineer is responsible for managing projects from the initial order entry through and including shipment of the product to the Customer and coordinates resources across multiple departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position reports to the Director of Systems and is part of the Systems engineering team. After the design phase of the project the position will work with Manufacturing Associates/Technicians in the proper application of equipment and technologies in a flexible and highly Customer focused environment. He or she will be responsible and accountable for the recognition and training of Safety, Quality, On-Time Delivery, and Productivity principles.

Experience
7+ years of hands-on experience in the production of hydraulic/pneumatic power units and/or applications.
Education
Physical Demands: The work is frequently sedentary; typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting of items such as a laptop computer, small products or parts, product books or catalogs. Position requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding as a passenger in an automobile. Must be able to move through customer sites, including warehouses, shipyards, oil field rigs, manufacturing facilities, fabrication and production facilities, and other similar workplaces. Must be able to effectively communicate using company-issued devices such as laptop, mobile phone, etc.
Work Environment: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments, including temperature variances, humidity, dust, noise, etc. Overnight travel may be required. Attending regular meetings, training and making sales calls via automobile or airplane is required. Work outside normal business hours is required.
