We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer. This role will lead Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test that support verification of the United States Nuclear Detonation (NUDET) Detection System (USNDS) as part of the Global Positioning System enterprise-level mission readiness activities.

On any given day, your duties may include:

+ Application of system knowledge to develop test plans for USNDS verification activities
+ Review of test plans and procedures to ensure USNDS objectives are met by enterprise-level activities
+ Analysis of test data and documentation/reporting of results
+ Interfacing with external stakeholders to influence requirement and verification definition


+ Bachelor's and Master's degree in a STEM field plus 2 or more years relevant experience; OR equivalent experience and education (BS + 6 years)
+ Experience performing systems engineering and technical analysis
+ Experience with generating system requirements, interface definitions, verification and validation activities, and other project documentation
+ Experience with test planning, execution, data analysis, and reporting
+ Can obtain a DOE Clearance


+ Experience with large, multi-organizational, multi-discipline projects with emphasis on satellite or other aerospace systems
+ Experience with US Air Force satellite programs
+ Experience in aerospace design, development/production/operations
+ Experience in design development, production, and operation of satellite ground systems
+ Experience with satellite communication systems (signal-in-space, encoding, encryption)
+ Familiarity with USNDS, NDS payloads, and NDS ground systems
+ Experience with requirements management tools, such as DOORS
+ Proficient in MS Office tools
+ Proficient with scripting and data analysis using Python or similar programming tools
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Experience reporting and briefing to internal and external partners
+ Active DOE Q clearance

Department Description:

We provide research and development (R&D), systems engineering, system analysis, system test, and project management for the United States Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS) to DoD and DOE sponsors. We use systems engineering expertise to support USNDS space and ground systems throughout the lifecycle. We utilize advanced modeling and simulation capabilities to assess USNDS performance as a system-of-systems and inform partner decisions. The department also works closely with ground and flight systems to ensure that USNDS needs are met.

Security Clearance:
