We are looking for a candidate with experience in leading Agile teams\. Our organization will use Agile/Scrum teams to develop our next generation of Web applications\. We are looking for Scrum Masters that have demonstrated ability to lead teams and organizations through change\.

It is expected that the selected individuals will:

+ Have strong interpersonal skills\.
+ Demonstrated ability in a professional software environment\.
+ Be willing to evolve techniques and processes to adapt to an environment that may not fit seamlessly into the Agile mindset\.
+ Guide and Coach both the Scrum Team and the Development team on self\-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
+ Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining \(aka grooming\) and managing the product backlog


+ Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 6 years of software design/development experience\.
+ Or a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 10 years of software design/development experience\.
+ Three or more years of experience as a Scrum Master, Coach or Trainer\.


+ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment; excellent listening and communication skills\.
+ Critical thinking, synthesis and problem\-solving; ability to deal with ambiguity and adapt to a fast\-paced, customer\.
+ Experience with web\-based application development with HTML5, JavaScript, Microservices and Angular\.
+ Strong demonstrated commitment to Agile principles and practices\. Demonstrated ability to facilitate adoption of these for teams new to the frameworks and new to the engineering practices\.

Department Description:

The Science and Engineering Information Systems \(SEIS\) Organization is a highlyintegrated team of departments focused on delivering software and system solutions which impact Sandia's mission\-critical programs\. Our vision is to be Sandia?s information sciences and engineering partner of choice for advancing informatics, cyber security, technology assessments, and computersystems, and delivering information engineering products and services\. Our key goals are: cost\-effective and reliable solutions, customer agility and performance, broad impact across Sandia, and an agile organization\. The Organization's work has been primarily focused within the Nuclear Weapons Strategic Management Unit \(SMU\) and the Nuclear WeaponsComplex, with the Defense Systems & Assessments SMU as a major avenue of new growth\. Core competencies of the Organization include technology assessments, application and infrastructure security, software engineering, technical project management, requirements engineering, enterprise architecture, dataarchitecture, and configuration management\. Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.
