The Future Fuzing department is seeking a RF/microwave/sensor design engineer to participate in the development of advanced RF systems, circuits and concepts for future Radar systems to support a broad range of NW, interagency, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and other programs and R&D initiatives.

Your development activities could include:

+ Design and develop RF circuits for Radar system RF front-ends.
+ Perform design and analysis of RF Integrated Circuits (RFIC) and Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMIC) to support development of advanced Radar fuzes.
+ Perform System Level Integration analysis and testing of advanced Radar fuzes.
+ Direct and support electromagnetic analysis, testing, post-processing of measured data, documentation and internal publishing related to advanced Radar fuzes.

You are expected to have experience and understanding in the application of principles, theories, concepts, and practices related to RF/Microwave circuit design to perform modeling and simulation supporting design and analysis activities, and to participate in experimental testing of completed designs. Occasional travel may be required.


**Applicants must demonstrate through prior experience or by coursework at least two of the following requirements:**

+ You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with related coursework in STEM or experience with electromagnetic (EM) analysis and RF/microwave circuit/system design.
+ Your background includes the use of commercial RF/microwave circuit simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, CST, AWR, Momentum, FEKO, IE3D, etc.
+ Your skillset includes experience with MATLAB or Simulink, as well or other programming languages (C/C++, Java, FORTRAN, Python, VHDL, etc.)
+ You have experience with testing RF/microwave circuits in a laboratory setting and have experience in the use of RF/microwave test equipment for network analysis, spectral analysis, noise characterization, etc.


**Applicants must demonstrate through prior experience or by coursework at least one of the following requirements:**

+ Experience with the design, fabrication, and testing of one or more of the following: RF Radar architectures (up/down conversion chains), RF front ends, T/R modules, low noise amplifiers, power amplifiers, phased-lock loops and synthesizers, mixers, filters, other RF components, etc.
+ Experience with RF circuit layout and RF PCB manufacturing techniques.
+ Experience in Radar system development and Radar hardware architectures.
+ Understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques and architectures and their use in Radar systems.
+ Experience in RFIC and MMIC design, development and testing.
+ Familiarity with inertial measurement units (IMUs) and related technologies.

Department Description:

We offer R&D in design and development of Radar systems for advanced fuzing techniques and concepts from RF component level circuit design to Radar system level design and analysis. The department is not only responsible for Radar system level design but the development of other sensor technology such as Inertial Measurement Units (IMU). The department also performs design, oversight and delivery of full-up systems for a wide variety of applications, operating environments and customers.
