We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Switch Tube Product Realization team in Org\. 2581 to design, develop, test, and characterize high voltage test modules in support of high voltage switch product realization for national security missions\.

Responsibilities for this position include:

+ Design of analog electrical circuits and capacitive discharge or pulse circuits\.
+ Direction of technologists work in a lab environment\.
+ Creation of product definition for electrical test modules\.
+ Documentation of test circuit performance against requirements\.
+ Supervising limited quantity production of high voltage test modules\.
+ Troubleshooting high voltage test failures\.
+ Support of ongoing production at an external vendor\.
+ Gathering of empirical evidence and the use of data mining and statistical tools to analyze, document and report on component characteristics and performance\.

Some travel is required\.

Required:

+ Bachelor's or advanced \(Master's or PhD\) degree in Electrical Engineering\.
+ Able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-level clearance

Desired:

+ Ability to design, analyze and troubleshoot RLC analog circuits
+ Willingness to work hands\-on in a lab environment
+ Experience with electrical diagnostic equipment
+ Experience with circuit design software and simulation tools \(e\.g\. PSpice, Micro\-Cap, ORCAD, MultiSim\) and board layout
+ Experience with high voltage pulse testing and troubleshooting
+ Experience designing analog circuits on printed circuit boards
+ Programming and data manipulation skills \(MATLAB, Python, VB, etc\.\.\.\)
+ Experience defining electrical testing/inspection methods and interpreting results
+ Ability to execute product design and development
+ Ability to prove\-in product to customer requirements
+ Active DOE security clearance

The Switch Tube team in Department 2581 provides customers with custom high voltage triggered vacuum switch designs for national security applications\. These components are designed to meet demanding performance specifications, offer extremely high reliability, and meet stringent survivability requirements in adverse environments\. Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.
