Professor of Professional Practice (P3) Faculty Position. The Department of Engineering at Texas Christian University invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Professional Practice Faculty position in the Department of Engineering. While a Doctorate in Engineering or a closely related field is preferred, candidates with at least 30 hours of graduate level study will be considered. Candidates must have experience working in industry as an engineer. Candidates must have broad interests in engineering and be able to teach undergraduate courses from the freshman through the senior level of associated with either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate will have relevant experience and a strong interest in effective undergraduate teaching: integrating theory, applications and laboratory practice. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program is preferred. In addition to teaching duties, the successful candidate will be expected to become involved with academic advising, course/curriculum development, supervision of student projects, and continued professional growth through a combination of consulting, scholarship, and research. Excellent communication skills are required. 

TCU has a small, undergraduate, ABET accredited, interdisciplinary Engineering program with 300 students and 13 full-time faculty offering a B.S. degree in engineering with electrical and mechanical areas of emphasis. The university is located in one of the premier centers of high technology activity in the US. Applications will be reviewed as received and the process will continue until the position is filled.
