Sto Corp. (Sto), a global innovation leader of façade insulation (EIFS) and high performance coatings, is seeking a Panel Systems Engineer.  This role is responsible for designing, leading, managing, and coordinating assigned projects/efforts from conception to completion including implementation of operations, training, and process improvement strategies for the Sto Panel program along with other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions (includes, but not limited to):
• Provide engineering support and effectively lead and manage projects to timely and on-budget completion.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal and external panel customers, with regards to safety, quality, efficiency, process, and equipment.
• Support company’s efforts to improve panel production processes at all our affiliates working with Porsche consulting or others.
• Develop detailed project scopes and other project planning documents to ensure projects are properly documented.
• Create or modify AutoCAD drawings to meet design requirements.
• Coordinate activities on regional fabrication efforts.
• Identify resource competencies at both internal and external companies.
• Perform liaison function between engineering and all manufacturing operations for any related issues, problems or improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of design and construction, schedules, cost estimating and the design process.
• Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups – shop floor through senior management
• Requires project management skills.
• Ability to develop, read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical reports, drawings, and financial reports.
• Ability to understand manufacturing processes and implement changes to those processes.
• Knowledge of business processes. 
• Ability to perform time studies as of process improvements.
• Ability to effectively develop and present information to shop floor staff through top management.
• Ability to define problems, gather relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Flexible about work assignments.  Dependable and self-starting.  Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Strong computer skills – proficient in (AutoCAD), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Must have a functional understanding of Industrial Safety Practices.
• Exceptional time management skills displaying ability to manage multiple tasks with strict attention to detail.
• Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.

• 5 – 10 years hands-on Engineering experience in an industrial process or manufacturing setting.

• Cell and/or assembly line manufacturing preferred.

• Experience in product manufacturing preferred.

• Project management experience required.

• Strong knowledge and proficiency in data software: Microsoft Office Suite (required).

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and/or Six Sigma preferred.

• Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving, mathematical, statistical skills required.

• Extensive travel (up to 75%) required.
