Widener University School of Engineering invites applications for a faculty position in the mechanical engineering department. This is a non-tenure-track position, with opportunity for career progression in the non-tenure-track positions of lecturer, senior lecturer, assistant teaching professor, associate teaching professor, and teaching professor. The School of Engineering consists of six departments of biomedical, chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical and robotics engineering. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, robotics engineering, computer science or a closely-related field. Candidates should be qualified to teach a broad range of lecture and laboratory courses in object-oriented programming applications, microcontrollers, perception, manufacturing, process automation, autonomous systems, collaborative robots, machine learning, artificial intelligence or adaptive robots; Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; Strong commitment to excellence in engineering education.

Preference will be given to candidates with industrial experience in robotics applications and/or doctorate degree.
