Maintenance Program Lead (Experienced)

We have an opening for a Maintenance Program Lead to provide leadership of the maintenance program activities for the Nuclear and Non\-Nuclear Facilities\. In this position, you will be responsible for the application of engineering concepts to optimize system and equipment performance, and improvements to processes and procedures to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of systems\.

On any given day, you may be called upon to:

+ Assure optimization of the program structure for the facilities, and ensure compliance with DOE O 433\.1B
+ You will work with NNSA/SFO, IS/FEM, management, and other program leads
+ You will serve as a technical conscious for conducting maintenance work, assessing required maintenance tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipment
+ Responsible for assessing and reporting safety hazards associated with maintenance of systems
+ You will work with IS/FEM and cognizant system engineers to forecast maintenance
+ Assist in the development of the configuration management tool including ownership of the master equipment list
+ Actively participate in DOE Maintenance Managers Working Group


+ A bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, nuclear engineering or relevant STEM degree
+ Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and development of program expectations, methods and practices for safe and reliable operations
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U\.S\. DOE Q clearance


+ An advanced degree in mechanical, electrical, or nuclear engineering
+ Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills to lead multiple tasks and project coordination
+ Experience as an engineer at a commercial nuclear power plant or DOE nuclear facility
+ Familiarity with DOE O 433\.1 maintenance management program requirements for nuclear facilities and 10CFR 830, Subpart A, Quality Assurance Requirements
+ The ability to complete complex assignments with minimal management oversight\.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Demonstrated success working within a highly interactive team

Department Description:

The Non\-Reactor Nuclear Facilities department operates the Auxiliary Hot Cell Facility \(AHCF\), the Gamma Irradiation Facility \(GIF\); and the Low Dose Rate Irradiation Facility \(LDRIF\)\. Another important aspect of this department is the implementation of the Integrated Work Management, Maintenance Management, and ES&H programs for all operations, maintenance, and processes in facility\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\.
