We are seeking an Intern Year Round - Business Undergrad
On any given day, you may be called on to:
+ Develop logistic and deployment plans and prepare training resources as needed in support of various summits, boards and events:
- The Defense Program Awards of Excellence (DPAE)
- Project on Nuclear Issues (PONI) conferences
- NNSA Intersite and Budget Summit
- NDEAB
+ Provide support for managing, creating and directing key messaging for the ND program.
+ Support the management review process and other various programmatic meetings.
+ Support our internal tools, applications and processes
Required:
You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:
+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U.S. citizenship
Additional Requirements:
+ Active Q Clearance or the ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance
Desired:
+ General knowledge and good understanding of business principles and processes
+ General understanding of and demonstrated ability to use a variety of business tools
+ Good oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to contribute in a team environment
+ Knowledge and good understanding of a suite of business software, including Microsoft Office
Department Description:
The ND Operations and Assurance organization supports the ND Program Management Director and the ND Leadership teams such as the NDLC (Nuclear Deterrence Leadership Council) and PILT (Portfolio Integration Leadership Team) in the execution of their responsibilities for Sandia's Nuclear Deterrence program. Key responsibilities include:Execute ND-level assurance activities in accordance with corporate requirements. Ensure accurate, timely communication across the ND Portfolio and with our external customers, including the Sandia Field Office and NNSA Headquarters. Provide operational support, processes and tools to enable the efficient planning, tracking, and reporting of the work that is carried out within Sandia's Nuclear Deterrence programs. Partner with the Line, Independent Assessment and ND Leadership to develop, improve and ensure overall integration and performance of the ND Quality Management System. Ensure current and accurate content of the ND MIS. Support ND PEP development and reporting of ND accomplishments through the PEAR. Represent the ND Portfolio in ensuring effective linkage with and execution of corporate requirements. Manage ISO 9001 registration for the ND Portfolio and ensure integration of the ND Portfolio registration with key ND organizations. Coordinate ND-specific personnel loans.
