We are seeking an Intern Year Round - R&D Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Acquire and analyze a variety of data ranging from production process-specific data to broader-scope data such as supplier or system performance
+ Offer suggested courses of action based on analyses, working closely with 2550 Product Realization Team
+ Develop skills in data analytics, teamwork, written and verbal communications, presentations, and problem solving

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

+ Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
+ Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major
+ Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
+ Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
+ U.S. citizenship

Desired:

+ Ability to apply critical thinking to technical data
+ Ability to accurately enter data into spreadsheets and other electronic tools
+ Basic skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
+ Ability to effectively work in a collaborative environment and as an individual
+ Basic ability to analyze data and present data in graphical formats
+ Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and results-oriented

Department Description:

Department 2557, Explosive Component Production Science and Technology, is responsible for explosive component production and planning, and preparation for acceptance activities. In addition, the department plays a key role in production analytics and in supplier capability assessment and development. The department manages building 905, including facilities operations planning (e.g. facility upgrades and maintenance), explosive materials coordination, and Maintenance of Capability funding. Overlapping all of these functions are the department's responsibility for managing the Classified Work Stations in 2550, technical communications, performance assurance, and planning activities associated with internal production capabilities.
