They will define and direct the development of a comprehensive compensation consulting strategy that supports strategic business objectives\u202Fthat will enable the company to attract, reward, and retain top talent globally. The successful candidate will have the ability to combine both company and business strategy to help\u202Fcreate and execute on a coherent and dynamic compensation consulting philosophy and strategy. They will lead the strategic direction of the\u202Forganizations\u0027 compensation consulting practices, ensuring Discover\u0027s pay programs are aligned with Discover\u0027s strategy and industry\u202Fpractice. Lastly, they will interact heavily with all levels of employees for interpretation of compensation programs while\u202Fsustaining the ability to attract, retain and motivate talented employees. \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProvides ongoing direction and guidance to direct team on the application, design and implementation of compensation programs, policies, practices and/or procedures. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EProactively partners with HR and Business leads to create consultative compensation solutions for the organization.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDevelops and drives consistency within direct team ensuring policies and procedures are in place and executed. Defines and directs strategic initiatives to align with corporate and/or department needs. Evaluates systemic issues and coordinates or implements their resolution.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EDirects the strategic direction and design of various projects and programs to align with evolving market and/or business needs. Integrates their projects or initiatives with other enterprise strategic and operational initiatives.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EMonitors industry trends and leading thoughts and directs operational initiatives to keep pace with modernizations.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EAdvises leadership across the enterprise to ensure compensation needs meet and support short and long term business strategy, enabling it to attract, retain and motivate talented employees. Provides interpretation of policies and programs to support business initiatives.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EResponsible for building and developing a high performing and engaged team of Compensation professionals. Provides oversight and direction to staff. \u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EManages the operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of assigned area.\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EREQUIRED SKILLES:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003EBachelor\u0027s degree or 15\u002B years of equivalent experience\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E8\u002B years of professional experience in a compensation or benefits role or equivalent experience in human resources, economics, finance, consulting, or other roles in financial services.\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExceptional business management skills including planning, project management, financial management; translating business requirements into compensation strategies and plans\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EExperience with Workday or similar HRIS benchmarking platforms\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003EPHR, SPHR, CCP or equivalent certifications preferred\u003C/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E#LI-ML2\u003C/li\u003E\u003C/ul\u003E \u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E \u003C/p\u003E \u003Cp\u003E The same way we treat our employees is how we treat all applicants - with respect.
