We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic team of experts to implement and administer compensation policies, procedures, practices, and programs for Sandia National Laboratories. You will provide guidance to management and Human Resources partners regarding compensation actions and issues. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Perform job analysis and evaluations, including those of union represented positions.
+ Support labor relations in contract negotiations and administration of collective bargaining agreements in relation to compensation.
+ Conduct studies that might include researching best practices, contract provisions, conduct data analysis, cost analyses, and develop recommendations.
+ Perform detail position to market and market composite analysis.
+ Complete research, analyze data, and present findings and recommendations in a simplified way.
+ Conduct data validation to ensure data integrity.
+ Participate in and interpret salary surveys.
+ Utilize excel, data reporting tools, costing tools, and HIRS systems.


+ Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline plus five (5) or more years of experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and direct experience
+ Compensation experience related to compensation theories, principles, and practices
+ Proficient experience with compensation data analysis


+ Masters Degree in relevant discipline
+ Experience with market-based compensation systems
+ Experience with reading and interpreting collective bargaining agreements, as it relates to compensation
+ Experience supporting negotiations of collective bargaining agreements
+ World at Work Certified Compensation Professional
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to think critically, focus on solutions, and work in teams or independently
+ Sound judgment, strong work ethic, ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Department Description:

The Compensation Department provides comprehensive support to the SNL management team in the areas of employee pay programs and policies (both base and nonbase), performance recognition programs, and job evaluations. Department activities involve interactions with all areas, classifications and levels of the Laboratory. Compensation has a direct line of sight impact on Sandia's ability to achieve its goals and objectives as a key element of Sandia's total rewards concept

Security Clearance:
