We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our multidisciplinary team. Do you possess analytical skills and have the ability to identify and resolve problems? You will partner with the HR team on annual compensation activities such as performance and compensation review, promotions, and special adjustments.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Advise on appropriate salary placement for new hires and promotions and use job evaluation techniques to establish compensation rates that are equitable within the organization and comparable to market rates.
+ Interpret local, state, and federal laws regulating compensation practices to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
+ Compare compensation to market benchmarks, analyze salary trends, and track salary budgets
+ Conduct surveys and study labor markets to determine compensation trends and best practices to pepare proposals specific to the Sandia CA site for annual compensation funding
+ Review and revise job descriptions
+ Review proposed changes to compensation practices and makes recommendations with respect to tasks to be performed and Sandia policy and budgetary limitations
+ Provide compensation plan documentation, plan interpretation, and other communications

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus one or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience with common office software, including spreadsheet software (such as Microsoft Excel) and Human Resources Information Systems-related software
+ Experience using and/or creating metrics, graphs, charts, etc.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE L-level security clearance

Desired:

+ Analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve routine problems and assist in making recommendations to management
+ Quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
+ Professional certification, such as PHR, SPHR, CCP
+ Knowledge of compensation principles, legislation, and current compensation trends and events that affect compensation programs

Department Description:

The HRBP, Diversity & Inclusion, Compensation and Workforce Analytics Department covers a broad spectrum of HR functions. We provide solutions to business challenges including recognizing and retaining employees, handling the Performance and Compensation process, developing and managing the division-wide Diversity & Inclusion efforts, developing and delivering metrics analysis, and conducting candidate briefings, and processing new hire and termination paperwork.

Security Clearance:
