The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Miami University (Oxford, OH) is seeking applicants for two tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor positions for its growing engineering programs to teach undergraduate and master’s level students; advise students; maintain an active research agenda and provide service to the department and university. Appointments will begin Fall 2020.

The positions require a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely-related field by date of appointment. ABDs may apply, but the doctorate must be completed by the date of appointment.

Consideration may be given to candidates with research activities in; i) Robotics (human-robot interactions, kinematics and controls, learning, medical applications etc), and ii) Automation (sensors and instrumentation, networked multi-agent systems, manufacturing systems etc); teaching experience, industrial and/or post-doctoral appointments or a record of grant funding and scholarly publications.  

To be appointed to the rank of associate professor requires an established record of high quality teaching and research.
