**Job Description**

You will partner with business partners to identity opportunities to leverage big data technologies in support of Pharmacy Operations and Retail Finance with a common set of tools and infrastructure to make analytics faster, more insightful, and more efficient. You will build and architect business intelligence reporting framework on a group of core Azure and Hadoop technologies. You will design highly scalable and extensible reporting platforms which empowers business analysts to monitor performance and leaders to make informed decision. You will define and maintain business intelligence architecture, focusing on applying technology to enable business solutions. You will assess and provide recommendations on business relevance, with appropriate timing and deployment. You will perform architecture design, data modeling, and implement business intelligence and analytic applications. You will bring a DevOps mindset to enable batch/real-time analytical solutions that leverage emerging technologies. You will develop prototypes and proof of concepts for the selected solutions, and implement complex big data projects. You will apply a creative mindset to a focus on collecting, parsing, managing, and automating data feedback loops in support of business innovation.


Business Intelligence Engineer Job Responsibilities

Expanding and optimizing data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. Work closely with business partners, data scientists, and UI developers in order to transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed.

Business Intelligence Engineer Job Duties

Extract information from databases to prepare and analyze data.

Perform data wrangling/cleansing techniques to conduct statistical analysis and identifying key insights for decision makers.

Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture from various databases that include Oracle DB, Teradata, On-Prem Hadoop, Azure Data Lake, etc.

Identify, design and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

Learn quickly and take on new challenges.


**Required Qualifications**

Demonstrated experience in architecting, designing, & prototyping using large scale databases and BI tools like Tableau/Microstrategy/Qlikview to support business strategies to deliver business value, and shape CVS technology strategies.

Proficiency in developing data visualizations to uncover insights from the data.

Strong experience working with industry-standard data warehouse tools, the lineage of metadata from data sourcing and the use of unstructured content as part of a BI strategy.

Experience in designing data models and data pipelines on traditional RDBMS platforms such as Teradata/Oracle/SQL Server as well as big data platforms such as Python/Pyspark to support reporting and analytics use cases

Demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with Business & Technology Partners.

Bachelors Degree in a related field


**Preferred Qualifications**

Deep business intelligence experience in the healthcare and/or retail industry.

Ability to successfully partner with software development teams located locally and across the US to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Strong presentation and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation.

Expertise in the following programming languages: SQL, Python, PySpark.

Hands-on experience in ETL tools.


**Education**

BA/BS degree required (Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred) with 4-7+ years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree or equivalent in an analytic discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience
