We are looking for a dynamic administrative professional to provide administrative support to the Energy & Homeland Security communications team, performing a wide range of projects and tasks and a variety of generalized business-related activities. You will be a vital member of the communications team, coordinating support requests for energy.sandia.gov, administrating our email marketing platform and other systems such as SharePoint, Confluence, etc. This position requires daily interaction with clients, other support organizations, vendors, and partners.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

+ Act as a main point of contact for web requests, maintenance, and support for energy.sandia.gov and gov delivery and other platforms the team uses to support with the Energy and Homeland Security portfolio.
+ Gather requirements from technical staff, track requests, and report on progress made with all parties.
+ Coordinate with the corporate web development team to review requests, obtain estimates for development, track progress and completion, and coordinate with clients for feedback.
+ Generate various reports, gather data and metrics, and coordinate with the team. Reports include web metrics, news notes and accomplishments for the portfolio, and others as needed.
+ Keep track of costs associated with tools and platforms and coordinate payment as needed.
+ Support the biannual External Advisory Board meeting by helping gather information, arrange printing, light proofreading, and other tasks as needed.


+ High school diploma plus three or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
+ Experience with general administrative services and activities.
+ Knowledge of and experience with common office software, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent software.
+ Excellent verbal and written skills, including proofreading, grammar, spelling, punctuation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance.


+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of internal and external personnel, including the ability to network with senior administrative personnel.
+ Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines, frequent interruptions, and competing priorities.
+ Experience working with WordPress and/or other content management systems.
+ Ability and desire to learn and adopt new platforms with ease and enthusiasm.

Security Clearance:

This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.

Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
