On behalf of Global Services Engineering the Validation Associate is required to develop the knowledge & proficiency to perform technical validation reviews for engine component repair technical data and substantiating data under the guidance of Validation Experts. The individual must be able to work independently and to assess repairs for content, accuracy and adherence to Engineering Standard Work. As part of the repair validation process the Validation Associate will be required to interact with repair development engineers, structural analysis engineers, metallurgists, CIPT’s, DER’s, and P&WC Design Approval Appointee’s to ensure repairs meet technical and substantiation requirements and allow DER’s and DAA’s to make a Regulatory Finding of Compliance. The Candidate is expected to develop knowledge and the ability to review, understand and interpret technical data such as engine certification and test reports, structural analysis reports, systems analysis, service documents, engine performance & operability, repair and manufacturing processes. The candidate will be required to develop a working knowledge of FAA Orders, Advisory materials and other guidance materials. The ability to determine export Jurisdiction & Classification of engineering repair data is a plus.
Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in gas turbine engine design / development and/or Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) industry is strongly desired. Education Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Advanced degree desirable.
