In continued support of P&W’s Engine Services Programs, an engineering team has been formed to reduce the cost and improve time on wing for our managed V2500 fleets. This position is the point engineering focal for the Program Office and Engine Services teams responsible for service contract risks and opportunities for the large fleet that P&W will manage in service for our customers.

The V2500 Leader will prior engine and operation knowledge, working collaboratively with Programs, Engineering and Engine Services teams to identify opportunities and innovation solutions to safely reduce engine maintenance cost of our managed fleets. This will be accomplished thru the Engineering Enabled Aftermarket (EEA) initiative focused on the following areas:

  • Time on Wing (TOW) expansion thru durability and system enhancements
  • Converting a select number of engine shop overhauls to focus on / near wing continued service events
  • Work with the shop network and Global Services Engineering (GSE) teams to perform optimized work scopes and reduce cost of maintenance events

This position will report to the OCE, V2500 Programs & Special Initiatives EEA Manager

In addition the V2500 EEA Leader will:

  • Provide technical advocacy for Engine Services priorities on the V2500 SIPTs, IPMTs and other technical meetings.
  • Provide proactive technical guidance in the resolution of system level technical issues.
  • Work with V2500 Chief Engineers, CIPTs and GSE to identify technical opportunities for safe, reliable and cost effective ways to manage the fleets (TOW, Event Cost, Near Wing).
  • Serve as the system engineering team member for managing and integrating various Life Cycle Cost Optimization (LCCO) tasks being executed across engineering and GSE.
  • Work closely with Engine Services to support the annual contact management review process.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with Module Centers and Core Systems Groups.
  • Participate in applicable V2500 technical reviews to ensure possible impacts to the Engines Services group is understood.
  • Outsourcing oversight to track V2500 milestones and task spend.

As the V2500 EEA discipline lead, expectation to develop methodology, criteria, and understand the connection with analytical systems. Maintain awareness of emerging trends in process and product technologies. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Engineering focal for Engine Services to work with the SIPT to integrate our vast data collection systems for predictive maintenance on the V2500 Program
  • Engineering focal to drive ESW improvements and V2500 opportunities for our managed fleets

Qualification: 5+ years experience in Aerospace industry
Education: BSME/BSAE, MA a plus
