Based at our Conshohocken, PA location, we seek a dedicated individual to perform various hands-on tasks required for operation of the plant such as charging the feed hoppers, maintaining the correct levels of refuse fuel in the boiler hoppers, mix and level refuse in the pit, load ash trucks using overhead crane, supervise and observe the tipping of delivery trucks, operate front end loader to manage tipping floor, inspect waste deliveries for unacceptable and hazardous waste.

Perform routine inspections of the overhead cranes and grapples to ensure the integrity of the equipment.

Participate in routine boiler shutdown evolutions.

Perform routine housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned / directed by Shift Supervisor.

Train to become qualified as a Back Plant Operator.

High School Diploma/GED is required.   

Candidate must have at least one year of previous experience in the operation of heavy industrial machinery or demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Military or formal technical/apprentice training is desirable.  

Previous power plant / industrial experience is a plus.
