Description: Description About the Position:
Under the guidance of the Learning & Development Manager, this position is responsible to design, develop, and deliver technical training programs to provide the employees with the knowledge, skills, and ability necessary to perform their jobs in a safe and efficient manner.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): This position will focus on the delivery of technical training to operations employees with a major emphasis on electrical/electronics training. Conduct training and administer testing and assessments. Utilize the 'Balanced Learning Approach' by supplementing formal class room training delivery with hands on activities that simulate real tasks that students need to perform in their jobs. Evaluate and modify existing training programs and training manuals to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with all safety and contractual obligations. Act as a technical advisor to operations in areas of technical expertise and/or participate on various committees. Conduct assessment of training needs associated with the introduction of new equipment, procedures, and technology. Participate as a subject matter expert during the modification and creation of new technical training programs by the Design & Development area of Learning & Development.


Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: A minimum of 5-7 years of operations experience with extensive electrical background. Excellent oral and written communication skills including active listening and presentation skills. Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to perform in a team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of safety policies and procedures and construction standards. Understanding of training and development principles. Working knowledge of personal computers and various business related software. Supervisory experience and/or advanced education in Engineering, Education, or a related field are considered a plus. Candidates may also be asked to demonstrate their presentation skills and knowledge of technical subject matter by conducting a short training presentation.
