Travel requirements – 10% to 20%

Location – Columbus, GA

BA/BS required, MA/MS or MBA preferred

Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Operations or Project Management

Job description

  • Columbus Forge Blades (CFB) has an available position in Materials Management working with Business Units on transitions, cost reductions & business cases for Make/Buy decisions.
  • The successful candidate will support or lead various financial models, passports, projects, and development of standard work and support of strategic planning activities across PW and key suppliers.
  • The candidate will act as project manager to support key operational transitions for operations moving make to buy to strategic partners and suppliers.
  • Provide customer communications and reviews on progress to key stakeholders
  • Support strategic reviews such as PDPR and long-term manufacturing/technical strategies
  • Work cross functionally to ensure quality, engineering, manufacturing, planning, compliance and operational requirements are met to move through progressive passport milestones.
  • Drive data collection, analytics to determine and recommend future suggestions for strategy options
Skills / competencies required to do the job
Please as specific as possible (please include language proficiency requirements).
  • Motivated, self-starter
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Power Point and Excel
  • SAP knowledge
  • Manufacturing/technical knowledge a plus
  • Analytical thinker, strong communication & presentation skills, experience with project management
  • Ability to work and understand multilevel disciplines to accomplish goals

Strengthen analytical thinking, increase financial and business acumen, achieve a strong understanding of Transition Standard Work process, gain a robust operations experience and the opportunity to interact and work with cross cultural teams and functions within PW. Business Case analysis with emphasis on costing, modeling and global markets in support of strategic planning.
