Military Repair Tool Planning: Develop concepts for new repair tool designs for Military Engine programs including the F119 and F135 programs. Present tool concepts to USAF and JPO customers for review, and obtain customers approval to proceed to detailed design and tool build. Complete the PW Tool Design Review process and ensure tools are developed and produced in compliance with PW Repair Tool design requirements and customer expectations. Coordinate with suppliers, and perform final checks of tooling developed at suppliers. Review tool drawings. Develop tool usage instructions for end users. Present tools to USAF and JPO customers for final approval and acceptance for repair production. Resolve technical questions on tooling from customers and suppliers; disposition eQNs.


Qualification: At least 5 years tool design experience and 10 years experience in a manufacturing/design environment. Must be able to read and interpret repair requirements, and read and interpret part blue prints, understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and have technical writing skills. Must have familiarity with typical repair and manufacturing processes including welding, brazing, riveting, and coating processes including plasma spray. Must have familiarity with commonly used tooling materials.
Unigraphics experience required. Teamcenter experience preferable. Must be familiar with MS Office products and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. This position is open to US Citizens only.

Education: BS Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related degree and relevant experience.
