This Limited Term Employee \(LTE\) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years\.



Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance\.

We are seeking a Technical Business Development Specialist to support Sandias program areas in identifying and developing new customers and retain existing customers\.



On any given day, you may be called on to:



+ Formulate technical business development plans, goals, and objectives for program areas and implement these as part of a team

+ Identify and evaluate mission opportunities for further Sandia engagement

+ Develop technical value propositions

+ Support execution of engagement and capture plans

+ Manage proposal development efforts and processes

+ Perform marketing research and analysis

+ Travel as required to support business development initiatives and activities



Required:



+ Bachelors degree

+ Experience with marketing, business planning and business development in a high tech and/or government setting

+ Experience with proposal management

+ Experience with program/project planning

+ Experience working in a cross\-discipline team environment

+ Experience building partnerships with both internal and external customers

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a DoE Q clearance



Desired:



+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent research and analysis skills

+ Business development experience in Defense Nuclear Nonproliferation and Nuclear Deterrence

+ Experience with customer relationship management



Department Description:



The Business Development and Partnerships Department 1181 is responsible for business development support to Sandia's Program Portfolios\. The department works in teams of technical and business professionals to develop management of technology, marketing and capture plans\. These teams then implement the plans with the goal of developing programs and partnerships that support mission work\. The department also works across the Industrial Partnerships team to develop and foster strategic industry partnerships that support Sandia's mission objectives\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.



Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.
