The Systems Engineering and Validation Organization is looking for experienced, high energy individuals to fulfill System Vehicle Lead Positions (SVL) within the SEV Systems Cell. The SVL serves as the Engine Integrated Product Team (EIPT) Lead over one or more engines or Major System Rigs within a program EVP. They have the overall system level responsibility for establishing the requirements for their assigned test vehicles including working with the Validation Manager, CIPTs and Core engineering groups to establish test objectives and communicate vehicle level requirements to the Assembly, Instrumentation and Test organizations within SEV. The SVL works with validation planning, instrumentation, assembly and test disciplines to define, document and flow detailed requirements associated with their assigned test vehicle(s). The SVL, as EIPT lead, will work with AIT to ensure their level 3 schedules align with the key milestones for each test vehicle in addition to the EVP. The SVL then leads the team to ensure successful execution of the defined AIT task. The SVL working with the EIPT, Deputy Validation Manager and Val Manager will assess risks, issues and engine configuration change control and work to ensure clear requirements and delivery to the plan.
Qualifications The selected candidate will have a high degree of interaction with various supporting disciplines within SEV and Engineering. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership to an integrated team supporting engine assembly and testing often in a high-pressure environment while working with minimum supervision. Education BS Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

Strong Systems Engineering/ Project Management experience. Preferred qualifications would include development engine leadership experience during engine assembly, instrumentation and test phases, performance/data analysis, hardware and configuration experience, planning and scheduling.
