Description: Description About the Position:
National Grid Digital Risk & Security Strategy & Planning Directorate is seeking a Strategy lead to work with the organization to determine long-term goals, identify opportunities, and develop action plans for the organization to achieve its current Cybersecurity Objectives. The role will play a key role in delivery of the company’s overall Cyber Strategy, including identification of risk areas and capability (technical and resource) gaps, development of a long term cyber-technology roadmap to mitigate risks and capability gaps, as well as work with functional leads to deliver on other strategy directives across risk, governance, and business enablement. Strategy work will feed into long-term investment planning processes that include Rate Case and other Regulatory submission development, and alignment with overall IS strategy and planning.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Support the annual Cyber strategy and planning process for the digital risk and security directorate Analyse strategic, operating, and financial impacts of strategy proposals Development and support of long-term strategy and technology roadmap to align with mitigation of risk and capability gaps Development of financial models and business cases to enable informed decisions and establish strategy objectives Support cross-functional teams to investigate, analyse, and make recommendations to leadership on current strategy or operational issues Participate in development of organization cyber scorecards to identify business strengths, weaknesses and opportunities Serve as internal consultant to the department and business, as required to support the overall strategy Lead planning and engagement for investment with business customer; Support business management and SME’s in relation to cyber investment decisions; Support DR&S in capturing investment from the business Support development and submissions of Rate Case and regulatory investment plans
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: A BS degree in a business or technical discipline (e.g., business management and administration, Operations Research, Finance or engineering). Business management experience Superior communications skills with the ability to work with other National Grid teams and customers. Proven people management skills, with a track record of strong communication, influencing and motivational skills. Able to operate as a highly independent worker and as part of a strong team with a collaborative approach. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality data and analysis, written reports and presentations. Experience in budgetary process (planning and execution) Knowledge of cyber security principles and best practices Exposure to the US and UK regulatory process Federal and State Exposure to the Grid Modernization Program (GMP), and Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) Computer skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Project, VISIO This position is one of National Grid’s career path roles which provide for promotional opportunities within and across salary bands as you develop and evolve in the position by gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
