Description: Description As a Stakeholder Specialist you will manage all the community relations aspects of our Transmission, Substation and Distribution projects in NY. You will be responsible for the community & municipal relationship on well over a billion dollars worth of critical capital improvements, with the goal of getting all capital projects completed on time, on or under budget and on our books earning a return without any delay due to customer & municipality intervention. Managing the existing NY capital transmission & substation projects-and the expected additional projects over the next year or two. Engage VPs, Directors and Managers of Transmission, Customer & Markets, Legal, Environmental and Project Managers to ensure Community & Municipal relationship management is embedded into our company's standard practice for all capital distribution projects. Facilitate and participate in the Permitting and Licensing teams in NY to address concerns and issue and drive project process improvement Build and maintain long term professional relationships with all abutters to NG's assets. Create standardized metrics to demonstrate to Senior Management the progress and effectiveness of the department's efforts. Maintain the overall communications strategy and outreach plans for all ongoing transmission & substation capital projects. Engaging divisional Customer Energy Solutions, Operations representatives for franchise municipal coordination and Transmission Account Management for municipalities with their own power and light organizations and for projects supporting generator interconnections Ensuring participation in the preparation for and attendance at various regulatory proceedings Maintenance of the internal relationship with Real Estate and Asset Management regarding all project real estate needs and issues Manage with Transmission Line Engineering (TLE) the project notification process with appropriate Division personnel.
Qualifications Job Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Communications Field experience with customer and community relations General working knowledge about utility infrastructure and service Time and project management skills Extremely strong public speaking experience and skills in potentially contentious forums Some travel and off hours expected and required National Grid is anequal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent,knowledge, experience and expertise.
