The UTAS Actuations Software Engineering department is currently interviewing software engineers for the development/verification of aerospace software. The engineer will be working with a collaborative, multi-cultural team located across multiple locations. The engineer will be engaged in activities which support the certification of embedded software for the control of actuation systems. These activities may include planning, development, verification and certification of embedded software. The software will be required to meet Design Assurance Levels per RTCA Aerospace Standard DO-178B or its equivalent.


Qualifications


  • Candidate must have MINIMUM of 7 years experience in Aerospace software development/verification teams, using DO-178 (Level A) or similar military standards
  • Experience using DOORS is highly desired
  • Strong technical and project management experience is required
  • Candidate must have full life cycle software development experience
  • Software Languages needed: C/C++ is required
  • ADA, Python, JavaScript, Assembly, HTML, GEL Scripting is highly desired
  • Experience using software/tools as listed: Synergy, Matlab, Coded Composer Studio, Test RT, MKS, Rational Rule Checker, Cygwin, Eclipse, Microsoft Office, Notepad++, Beyond Compare, Cygwin, GCC, Microsoft Office, CodeBlocks, Visio
Education Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Software, or Computer science discipline or related field is required.
Master's degree in related is highly desired.
