Rohr, Inc. d/b/a UTC Aerospace Systems has an opening in Foley, AL for Staff Engineer, Structural Engineering.

Perform structural analysis using standard analysis methods & finite element analysis in support of Nacelle Component manufacturing repairs (MRB). Produce stress concurrence on MRB dispositions considering strength, weight, cost, assembly & delivery schedules, & in service reparability. Generate reports suitable for transmittal to Airworthiness Authority & customer. Communicate technical issues.

Must possess at least a master's or its equiv. in Mechanical Eng., Aerospace Eng. or rltd fld & at least 4 yrs of work exp. w/structural analysis. In the alternative, a bachelor's or its equiv. in Mechanical Eng., Aerospace Eng. or rltd fld & at least 6 yrs of work exp. w/structural analysis would be acceptable. Must possess: at least 4 years of work exp. w: MRB; and aircraft/airframe manufacturing, repair, & composite/metallic structures stress; at least 2 years of work exp. w: classical hand analysis & finite element skill; & w/Nastran & Patran; & at least 1 year of work exp. w/PC/Unix computing.
