Description: Description Job Duties: Overseeing the development and execution of complex engineering innovative solutions projects to ensure efficient and timely delivery of the projects in compliance with required specifications and according to the project plan and schedule; Reviewing and improving a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project, prepared by junior project managers, and recommending improvements; Defining the scope of the project (including establishing a project timeline, setting of project goals & allocating project resources) based on the documentation prepared by junior project managers in collaboration with the appropriate organizations and regulations, e.g. initial conceptual engineering design, equipment specifications & cost analysis for the project; Managing the development and execution of complex engineering solutions projects which include both technical and business aspects; Ensuring the execution of the project according to the project plan; Reviewing and improving the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion; Participating in selection of staff & volunteers for the project and making recommendations on the appropriate skill set required for the specific project; Ensuring that the project is executed according to the project plan and working closely with customer’s senior management team to provide updates, resolve issues and ensure that the outcome of the project meets their expectations; Working with project staff according to the established policies and practices of the company; Monitoring the progress of the project and making adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project; Ensuring that all project personnel received appropriate orientation on company’s project objectives and standards, evaluating the readiness of a project team and recommend additional training as needed; Reviewing the quality of the completed work on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards and specifications; Monitoring and approving all budgeted project expenditures; Ensuring that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality; Evaluating the outcomes of the project as established by project plan, objectives and budget during the planning phase, making critical contributions to the development of the project and approving all budgeted project expenditures. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree), plus two (2) years of experience managing complex engineering projects for utility companies that involve Smartgrid technologies utilizing MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, MatLAB and DIAlux; and two (2) years of experience with electric and/or gas transmission and distribution networks, IEEE, NPV, RFP and IRR. Domestic travel associated with the assigned projects is required up to 25% of the time annually. Background checks may apply.
