Position Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking an IT Security Manager tomaintain IT security posture through policy, monitoring, remediation and training processes. In this role, the IT Security Manager willensure that the practices in place are aligned with the organization compliance efforts including SANs and general SOX controls governing the organization. The IT Security Manager will be responsible for selection and implementation of appropriate security solutions, remediation of vulnerabilities and non-compliant systems, risk assessments and security training activities. The IT Security Manager will interface with the IT infrastructure and application groups as well as with functional leaders in the business units to share the corporate security vision and to solicit their involvement in achieving higher levels of enterprise security through information sharing and collaboration. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain security documentation (policies, standards, guidelines and procedures).

  • Coordinate the execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits.

  • Collaborate with IT application and system owners to monitor, prioritize and remediate security issues and vulnerabilities.

  • Manage and report security metrics.

  • Ensure compliance to enterprise security policies.

  • Monitor security solutions for efficient and appropriate operation.

  • Help coordinate investigations and response to information security incidents.

  • Review logs and reports and interpret data to devise plans for appropriate action and resolution.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.

  • Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall IT security.

  • Oversee the deployment, integration and configuration of new security solutions and of any enhancements to existing security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s security documents specifically.

  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data residing on or transmitted through workstations, servers and other systems and in databases and other data repositories.

  • Coordinate regular security awareness training for employees to ensure consistently high levels of compliance with enterprise security policies.

Requirements

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience required

  • Security Certifications such as CISSP, GAIC, CISM, etc. preferred.

  • Five + years’ experience leading and managing IT projects and teams.

  • Knowledge of information security standards, rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality on a global perspective.

  • Knowledge of infrastructure and application security principles for risk identification and analysis.

  • Experience designing and delivering employee security training.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to keep information strictly confidential when necessary.

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.

  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Highly self-motivated and directed.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.
