Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Military Engines (ME) is seeking an experienced Process Development Manager (PDM) to develop, improve and manage processes and standard work across the ME Program Management Enterprise value stream.

This individual will research and capture best practices, establish and execute workflows to ensure new processes are properly coordinated before publication, and coordinate with stakeholder representatives for alignment on process content and with the P&W Quality Management System (QMS). This role will be responsible for creating a plan based on the Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework, and other industry best practices and standards, to ensure ME has a complete set of procedures and standard work to support excellence in program/project execution. The PDM will also coordinate with the Discipline Chiefs and other subject matter experts on process development, improvement, and implementation, as well as training requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving as the subject matter expert for the development and maintenance of ME PM Enterprise processes
  • Defining and implementing a plan to ensure a robust set of Program Management Enterprise processes and methods
  • Working with the other ME discipline chiefs to leverage collective expertise to improve processes relative to efficiency and effectiveness, and communicate and train new and changed processes
  • Working cross-functionally and cross-program to integrate and improve core processes, standard work, best practices, and lessons learned across the value stream
  • Assisting in the resolution of critical process-related issues that directly impact business metrics
  • Facilitating alignment of ME PME processes, roles and responsibilities with the enterprise-wide QMS
  • Participating on ACE council and leading events related to improving the processes across the value stream
  • Serving as the administrator for PM process metrics and measures of effectiveness
  • Driving continuous improvement through the use of ACE Operating System
  • Using uPerform and SharePoint to manage content, document masters and facilitate accessible and relevant processes and standard work.
