Our organization is experiencing a great deal of growth and we are looking for candidates to fill openings across multiple departments and disciplines within our organization\.

It is expected that the selected individuals will:

+ Have fundamental technical competencies in software engineering practices, including planning, designing, implementing, testing, deploying and maintaining robust, highly available web\-based applications\.

+ Work collaboratively with architects, developers, technical leads, customers, and end users to collect requirements, develop vision, design solutions, and deliver high quality and easy\-to\-use software applications\.

+ Be willing to challenge status quo in process and quality methodologies in software


+ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant degree with six or more years of experience; or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant degree with three or more years of experience; or equivalent experience \(a minimum of 14 years of experience required to qualify in lieu of a relevant degree\)\.

+ Experience requirements apply to one or more of the following:

- Developing web applications, including both back\-end and front\-end web development experience\.

- Software Configuration Management

- Leading technical projects


+ Experience with web\-based development patterns, such as MVC\.

+ Experience with more than one Javascript frameworks such as Angular\.js\.

+ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment; excellent listening and communication skills\.

+ A working understanding of software quality processes and full lifecycle development methodologies such as the Scrum, KANBAN, Rational Unified Process \(RUP\), CMMI, and ITIL/ITSM

+ Experience with Docker containers, Jenkins continuous integration, and continuous delivery approaches to software development and deployment in cloud\-based environments\.

+ Experience with Spring Framework\.

+ Experience in software design and development using Java, C\+\+, or C\#; including proficiency in objected\-oriented design and development\.

The Science and Engineering Information Systems \(SEIS\) Organization is a highly integrated team of departments focused on delivering software and system solutions which impact Sandia's mission\-critical programs\. Our vision is to be Sandia?s information sciences and engineering partner of choice for advancing informatics, cyber security, technology assessments, and computersystems, and delivering information engineering products and services\. Our key goals are: cost\-effective and reliable solutions, customer agility and performance, broad impact across Sandia, and an agile organization\. The Organization's work has been primarily focused within the Nuclear Weapons Strategic Management Unit \(SMU\) and the Nuclear WeaponsComplex, with the Defense Systems & Assessments SMU as a major avenue of new growth\. Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.
