Major Duties

Position Summary: Creates software programs for use within company products and assists other departments in the deployment of those products. Designs, modifies, and implements embedded software applications. Participates in the testing process through test review, code debugging, analysis and the development and execution of formal test procedures. Reports to the Software Engineering Manager or Software Project Lead. Essential Functions: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Determines software designs of limited scope and complexity by analyzing software requirements, specifications, and performance issues using the appropriate programming languages and tools • Uses technical expertise to create high quality microprocessor based embedded software applications • Tests and debugs software by applying debugging tools and ensuring that the code meets the coding standards and satisfy all requirements. Determines testing methods. Documents all testing methods, results, and performance benchmarks. • Generates support documentation for all work. Qualifications: • BS Computer Science, MS Computer Science or BS Computer Engineering • 1-3 years of experience with software programming using C/C++ languages • Communication skills sufficient to present technical information to customers and internal staff members. • Experience in Microprocessor based embedded software development a plus • Experience in the Aerospace industry and Do178 industry standard a plus Parker is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
