  • Participate in the internal Quality System Audit program for the organization.
  • Provide expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools and methods to targeted functions of the organization to support them in their continuous improvement activities.

  • Interface with manufacturing and design engineering when support is required to conduct root cause corrective action analysis for problem solving and process improvement.

  • Facilitate the investigation and elimination of causes of quality problems and follow up on corrective actions.


Understanding of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, AS9102, & ISO9001.

Knowledge of ISO 15504, and experience in software quality a definite plus

Ability to understand and interpret engineering technical data, such as manufacturing, part drawings, or industry standards to provide guidance to cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management, external customers, and government agencies.

Ability to develop and implement Quality best practices

Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings.

Experience with the development of Metal, and Electronic Systems

Six sigma experience and LEAN, knowledge of Lean Product Development (LPD) and Continuous Improvement (CI); including experience working within an environment that embraces the daily use of these tools.

Self-motivated with a passion for Quality and proven problem solving skills.

Strong PC skills with proficiency in the following MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.

Must be able to wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment to work in clean room environments.

Education: BA/BS degree in Engineering or related field w/4+ years experience
MA/MS degree w/2+ years experience
Six Sigma, or ASQ Certification desired.

Preferred Skills:

ISO/AS Lead Auditor certification
SAP, Agile, and Team Center knowledge
Experience with Optics and Wafer Fabrication preferred
Experience with Quality Assurance systems such as AS9100 Rev D, and ISO9001:2015 desired
