Description: Description About the Position:
Develop and implement integrated Marketing campaigns to help to position National Grid as a leader and innovator in New Energy Technologies focused on solar initiatives. Analyze data and activities to provide relevant and up to date information to support decision-making and the effective development of customer communication plans. Manage and optimize marketing budgets. Utilize processes that improve communication effectiveness and efficiency. Work with communication agencies to create and execute customer communications that deliver increased customer satisfaction and drive business results.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Work across the organization with the teams that Marketing supports such as New Energy Solutions and Jurisdictions teams. Provide marketing support to New Energy Solutions teams Development and fully implement multiple marketing communication plans to drive participation financial performance and customer satisfaction. Manage the communications budget to efficiently deliver on objectives and ensure budgets are maximizing business results. Monitor and review financial information, updating where necessary in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information. Work collaboratively with customer insights team on customer research and campaign test plans, work with analytics team on propensity models and test and control with hold out groups to ensure campaigns are targeted and budgets effectively utilized. Determine campaign ROI’s and ensure past campaign learning’s are implemented into future campaigns. Improve the customer experience by optimizing customer communications, including content on the website Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in order to share best practices, provide technical advice and build bases of influence. Oversee Purchase Order process and oversee invoices to ensure vendors are paid on time and financial allocations in SAP are accurate. Proactively research, monitor collate and analyze policy, work unit and/or financial data within one or multiple areas using pre-determined tools, methods and formats in order to support the department’s decision making process Execute instructions and requests, plan and organize resources and make appropriate arrangements to ensure that work is carried out efficiently and in line with relevant policies and processes. Maintain and provide information such as regulatory information in order to ensure regulators and other stakeholders are kept up to date with relevant National Grid policies, processes and programs. Keep up to date with market/regulatory developments within own profession/discipline in order to ensure the optimization of best practice for National Grid. Manage the day to day relationship with contract or external service providers, including negotiation of costs for Marketing services Contribute to developing project standards and processes to improve project delivery within the relevant function. Develop and maintain analytical spreadsheets/systems, models and procedures in order to support design solutions and enhance time/consistency/safety/efficiency and operability. Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies within assigned area. Willingness to travel to different locations within the National Grid service territory. Ensure accuracy of the content related to smart energy solutions and connected solutions programs on the National Grid website. Leverage owned channels such as website, social media, bill inserts to expand promotion of programs. Review marketing campaign materials for accuracy, customer focus and branding alignment.
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field and 5+ years of related experience Proficient in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation. Knowledge of current trends within the industry and developments. Capability Requirements: Conceptual Thinking (2): Sees patterns or trends in data or situations, notices when something is similar to a past situation Knows how to remain motivated, engaged and positive with an eye towards personal development Marketing Strategy/strategic thinking and planning experience Marketing and Direct Marketing experience. Must understand basic Direct Marketing principals. Campaign implementation and results analysis experience required.
