Sustainability Services Group
NORESCO's Sustainability Services Group is an energy and sustainability consulting company focused on auditing, commissioning, technical studies, sustainable certifications and consulting work. We work with clients ranging from private commercial and multi-family owners to labs, healthcare facilities and government buildings. Our focus is on finding opportunities to improve buildings — both new and existing.



We have an immediate need for a Senior Engineer in Edison, NJ.


As a Senior Engineer, you'll be involved in the following:


Familiar with commissioning the following equipment:
  • Generators
  • Switchgear (medium voltage, open/closed transition, PLC controlled, paralleling)
  • Automatic transfer switches
  • Circuit breakers
  • Bus ducts and cabling
  • UPS modules and systems
  • Static transfer switches
  • Power distribution units
  • Remote power panels
  • Ability to lead design and construction commissioning meetings
  • Ability to develop commissioning specifications
  • Experience with submittal reviews and presenting comments to the construction and design teams
  • Able to develop and execute installation, functional, and integrated testing forms
  • Document identified issues in an issues database and present to the construction and design teams
  • Write reports, and perform day to day communication with client/owner/construction team
  • Familiar with electrical power measurement and data recording as well as NFPA 70 safety procedures

Desired but not required characteristics:
  • Experience with lighting control systems
  • Experience PV Solar: panels and inverters
  • Ability to complete Pull-the-plug / black-out testing
  • Familiar with NETA test procedures including breaker and megger testing
  • Past completion of electrical punchlists
  • Familiar with emergency power sequence of operations
  • Experience with SCADA systems for larger electrical power distribution systems
  • PE license (with electrical specialty)
  • Commissioning certifications
  • Background with thermography/infrared testing

Qualification:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with electrical system commissioning
  • Experience performing design reviews at multiple phases of design
  • Experience developing commissioning plans and schedules


Education: Electrical engineering degree (or mechanical engineering degree with previous experience working at an electrical capacity)
