This Mechanical Engine Systems Manufacturing Engineer will have a diversified group of responsibilities focused on maintaining and improving production product flow of fuel controls and actuators. Significant roles include the creation of production processes and tooling for new designs. Investigate and resolve technical production processes on existing product. Ensure that production personnel have the necessary documents and tools required to build quality products. Continuous improvement of production processes as part of our ACE culture. Identify, manage, and drive to closure strategic initiatives for the benefit of the organization. Ensure compliance to company, customer, and government standards.

Typical Roles/Area of Focus:

  •  Establishes/reviews manufacturing processes and identifies improvement opportunities that support efficient product flow and/or cost reduction and lead/assists in solution implementations
  •  Coordinate specialized tooling design / redesign in support of production needs.
  •  Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  •  Review and provide recommendations for product specific quality issues
  •  Train and guide technicians on production processes

Level of Responsibility:

  •  Responsible for several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project
  •  Contributes to their team or department by ing their knowledge of one or more functional areas
  •  Able to work at times without direct guidance or direction from others

Qualifications
Desired qualifications include:
  •  Unigraphics experience
  •  Lean Manufacturing experience
  •  Solumina experience
  •  Adaptable in high stress situations
Education
BA/BS degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical Eng., Industrial Eng., etc) w/4–7+ years experience

MA/MS degree w/2–5+ years experience (Preferred)
