DESCRIPTION:
Immediate need for a Senior Electrical Lab Test Technician to perform functional, endurance, and environmental testing of electronic gas ignition controls and mechanical temperature controls, assist Electrical and Software Engineers with test setup and documentation, and provide task guidance to other Electrical Lab personnel in collaboration with Engineering Manager, Electrical and Software Engineers.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Including, but not limited to:
  • Execution of functional, endurance, and environmental testing of electronic gas ignition controls and mechanical temperature controls.
  • Documentation of results and tracking of units under test (UUTs) using internally developed practices and procedures.
  • Provide task guidance and oversight to other Electrical Lab technicians in collaboration with Engineering Manager, Electrical and Software Engineers.
  • Manage inventory of electronic assemblies that can be quickly modified for delivery of rapid prototypes.
  • Maintain inventory of piece parts that support the delivery of rapid prototypes.
  • Support test facility and equipment maintenance and management.
  • Perform fault isolation testing on systems and equipment, and assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
  • Perform soldering, wiring, fixture setup and product labeling.

Qualification: Required
  • Experience with execution of functional, endurance, and environmental testing of electromechanical devices.
  • Experience documenting test procedures and results.
  • Experience with test facility and equipment maintenance and management.
  • Hands-on experience with component level troubleshooting of analog circuits.
  • Proficient in soldering, wiring, fixture setup and product labeling.
  • Proficient in use and operation of electronic lab tools/equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, multimeters, temperature/environmental chambers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel software.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes, drafting practices and retrieval of documentation.
  • Able to Interpret Test Data and Specifications
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of task execution and work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to quickly adjust to shifting priorities, perform and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Individual must be self-motivated, energetic, and team oriented.

Desired
  • Experience providing task guidance and oversight to other Electrical Lab technicians or personnel.
  • Experience with use of Data Acquisition Equipment, i.e. National Instruments Lab View.
  • Experience conducting EMC/EMI tests, specifically Series 61000-4-2, -4-4, -4-5, -4-11, -4-12 standards.
  • Familiarity with C programming language and PIC family of microprocessors.
  • Experience with use of Zebra label printers.

Education:
  • Minimum Associates Degree in Electric/Electronics Field.
