Description: Description About the Position: The Senior Analyst is responsible for the daily management of US income tax accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for entities within the New York Jurisdiction. The Senior Analyst specializes in income tax accounting and reporting. Reports to Manager of US Tax - New York Jurisdiction.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Preperation of all aspects of income taxes for of entities included in New York Jurisdiction. Calculation of monthly tax provision calculations Preparation of income tax account reconciliations, including tax basis balance sheets and account roll forwards. Maintaining uncertain tax positions calculations and associated analysis. Preparation of quarterly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP Preparation of quarterly financial statements in accordance with FERC & PSC reporting requirements Preparation of annual Federal income tax returns Preparation of annual NY unitary Corporate income tax returns Preparation of quarterly state estimated payments and extensions Support federal and state tax audit team Support regulatory team in filing of rate cases and responding to regulatory requests Support tax research and planning team in analyzing new transactions, legislations etc.accounting on behalf of all NG entities Preperation of all aspects of income tax accounting on behalf of all NG entities Member of team reponsible for creation and maintenance of tax accounts within SAP and BPC accounting systems. Development and maintenance of Excel based tax accounting system, including tax provision calculations, consolidations, mappings to CorpTax and UK Longview tax system. Member of team reponsible for implementing US Tax accounting system Onesource Assist with monthly tax accounting and bookkeeping in accordance with FERC, US GAAP and IFRS guidance. Assist with IFRS Half-year and year-end reporting processes Preparation of Post Submission Adjustments
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have prior diverse experience in the tax field with a concentration in Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 740, International Accounting Standard 12 and Sarbanes Oxley ("SOX") Compliance. Experience within regulated utility industry is preferred. Experience with New York Corporate Combined tax returns is preferred. A Bachelors in Taxation is required, Master's Degree or Certification as a Public Accountant, or Juris Doctor degree is preferred. Exhibit high personal standards of commitment and integrity Strong systems and Excel skills. Experience with Onesource tax provision preferred. Ability to bring creative and innovative operational approaches to the taxes within NY Jurisdiction. Strong interpersonal skills and focus on team building. Welcomes complex technical discussion and analysis, coaches and guides NY Jurisdiction's analysts. Willing to work overtime as needed Willing to travel as needed Proven project management skills and sound judgment that can be relied upon by Tax Department's leadership.
