Description: Description About the Position: The Global IS Portfolio Management Team is responsible for governance and Oversight of processes, methodologies and tools that support the entire project lifecycle, from Idea Identification through intake, prioritization, governance, execution, closure and benefit realization. There are four main areas of focus:

IS PMO Systems and Support
IS KPIs, Metrics, and Reporting ( Role described here owns this dimension ) IS Program Quality Assurance
IS Process and Tools Governance and Oversight

The Senior Analyst, Global Program Metrics and Reporting is directly responsible for the creation, modification and ownership of global reports related to project, program and portfolios, and is responsible for creating and managing key performance indicators in reporting that are used to drive decision making on portfolio management and project execution. This role is also the lead interface between the regional project management offices (PMOs), to ensure alignment on reporting strategies and technologies. He/she helps turn data into information, and information into analytics that help senior management drive business decisions. This individual works with a team of highly skilled BI resources who facilitate access to a diverse set of internal and external project and financial management data sources, and helps maintain a dedicated operational rigor across all data teams to solve data integrity and quality issues combined with key business metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Working with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and partners, he/she participates in gathering and documenting reporting requirements to meet the needs of project, program, and portfolio delivery teams.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):


Act as owner of public display of metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data management

Deliver project, program and portfolio KPI data

Respond to, and take the lead on responding to requests for ad-hoc reporting

Coordinate with leadership, manage internal meetings, develop and create new reports

Write custom reports using various BI Tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, VS Report Builder, SAP Business Objects, etc)

Collaborate with Program Delivery Teams, PMOs, and Senior Management to identify top reporting requirements and KPIs to drive value-added, pre-emptive decision making.

Other ad-hoc analysis, related system setup and maintenance as needed

Provide first line of triage and reporting troubleshooting expertise to IS business units and key stakeholders

Apply strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret internal customer needs and translate them into business requirements and reporting designs

Collaborate with project managers, and subject matter experts to establish reporting roadmaps and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs

Show a keen eye for detail and the ability to adhere to deadlines within a fast-paced environment

Build reports, dashboards, and other data tools that enable self-service for users

Participate in project and program management system enhancements, to identify future reporting opportunities, and to ensure enhancements enable effective reporting capabilities

Provide educational resources and relevant data dictionary for help with data quality or data access performance issues

Train, coach and advise other team members about analytics best practices

Qualifications Knowledge & Experience Required:

Bachelor degree in Information Systems or other related field in a quantitative or analytical discipline

5+ years’ experience that includes 2+ years’ experience with reporting, metrics and KPIs

Comfortable working closely with project management teams, and experience with Agile development techniques

Natural curiosity for innovation

Strong internal service skills

Strong strategic and analytical skills

Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills

Ability to develop new processes and/or formats as needed while displaying a strong entrepreneurial mindset

Experience creating and reporting from large datasets across multiple data sources

Ability to dig into data to drive understanding, displaying a forensic mindset

Ability to learn new technologies, software and systems quickly

Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Database and Reporting Technologies (SSRS, SSIS, etc), SAP Business Objects.

PMI-PMP, ITIL certifications desired , but not required .
