Pratt & Whitney's aftermarket Engine Services organization is seeking a resident center manager to lead Geared Turbofan (GTF) gas turbine engine maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) activities at our MTU partner's maintenance facility in Hannover, Germany.

The resident center manager will oversee the execution of MRO shop visit requirements from engine induction, to procurement of supplies, to customer delivery as part of a growing global network of engine centers and repair facilities for GTF engines.

Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Ensuring MTU Maintenance Hannover satisfies established requirements under fleet management program (FMP) maintenance contracts during the overhaul of GTF engines.


Assuming a leadership role in coordinating between MTU Maintenance Hannover and Pratt & Whitney functional groups to execute MRO activities according to schedule.

Monitoring and reporting on all GTF work-in-progress.


Troubleshooting obstacles to on-time delivery of supplies.

Providing guidance to support capacity planning of shop visits under FMP agreements.

Implementing "low cost" commercial strategy for cost reduction.

Executing material strategy in support of MRO shop visits.

Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators that support FMP requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated project and/or operations management work experience

A deep understanding of gas turbine engines, airline operations and engine maintenance/repair procedures


Exposure to, and application of continuous improvement tools, processes and methodologies

Strong communication, presentation and data management skills

A demonstrated ability to effectively team across organizations and/or functions to accomplish shared goals

Strong judgment, influencing, negotiation and leadership skills

Education Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or operations focused business field of study with 6-10+ years of relevant work experience

Master's degree in an engineering discipline or operations focused business field of study with 4-7+ years of relevant work experience

Doctoral degree in an engineering discipline or operations focused business field of study with 2-4+ years of relevant work experience
