The Integrated Stockpile Evaluation Group, 2250, is seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic leader to be the manager of Reentry Systems Tester Development Department 2255. This manager will have a critical role in the implementation and execution of our Integrated Stockpile Evaluation program to fully support stockpile evaluation and the ongoing transformation of the stockpile evaluation program. This is a key management position in a dynamic organization. The Manager of this Department will set the direction and be accountable for the development, manufacturing, and implementation of System Test Equipment for several nuclear weapon programs. First, this department is responsible the System Tester Architecture Refresh (STAR) that is the backbone for the overwhelming majority of our system testers. This department is also responsible for delivering system testers for the following: W88 ALT 370, W76 UK, and W87 AFA. Lastly, this department is also responsible for the sustainment of our centrifuge capabilities as well as the development of required future centrifuge capabilities. In addition, the Manager will be expected to take an active role in the development and implementation of strategies to attain a transformed surveillance program, drive innovation in surveillance techniques, and recruitment and development of the staff for the future surveillance program.

Required:



99. Bachelor?s and advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in engineering, science, or computer science plus eight years of relevant technical experience; a bachelor's degree plus four years technical experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
99. Active DOE Q security clearance.

In addition to the referenced criteria, the successful candidate will meet Full Spectrum Leadership competencies, including: Responsibility for a complex project or process. Responsibility and demonstrated success for deliverables. Leadership and people skills, including effective people and organization management. Adherence to Sandia's Corporate Values. We maintain a timely, cost effective, and highly integrated stockpile evaluation program that provides data and analyses which inform stockpile decisions. We provide guidance and expertise regarding life-cycle testing, as well as development of test equipment in support of testing. The work we do directly supports the Annual Assessment Report, as well as reliability and surety assessments for the enduring stockpile.

Position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance or active clearance with another US government agency, e.g., DOD, to be considered for this position.
