We are seeking a R&D Electrical Engineer

Have working knowledge/experience with Python, Matlab, C, or C++. Experience with image processing and data collection. Working knowledge/experience with Linux and Windows environments. Experience/education in a subset of the following: computational imaging, optical design and tolerancing, compressive sensing, optical alignment, optical laboratory experience, sequential and non-sequential optical raytrace software, image processing.

Required:



Master's Degree; in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

- 5 years or more of relevant experience

- Experience with electrical sensing, assessment, communication and data fusion technologies.

- Experience with component integration into a high performance system

- Experience in field testing, technology development and system integration work

citizenship.

-Working knowledge/experience with Python, Matlab, C, or C++, experience with image processing and data collection

Desired:

PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Strong academic background (degree discipline, GPA, and graduation dates must be included in your resume for consideration)

GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 for all degrees earned.

-Experience in military based security analysis or technologies (interior/exterior sensors, remote sensing, video, network, data fusion, etc) and/or experience with DoD applications of physical security

-Relevant experience in optical

-Demonstrated experience with radar system (hardware, software, and systems analysis)

-Experience in, and desire to perform, field testing, technology development, and challenging system integration work.

-Experience/education in a subset of the following: cryptography, encryption, applied mathematics, software development for multi-core/GPU/parallel computing, 3D printing, Solid Works or other CAD, optimization methodologies, scientific data visualization

-Experience with large, complex scientific and technical systems development

-Experience/education in a subset of the following: complex algorithms, computational imaging, optical design and tolerancing, compressive sensing, optical alignment, -optical laboratory experience, sequential and non-sequential optical raytrace software, image processing.

-Working knowledge/experience with Linux and Windows environments

-Experience managing, testing, and delivering R&D projects/technologies

-Demonstrated ability to develop and present ideas and results in oral and written form.

-An existing U.S. Government granted security clearance;

Security Clearance:


Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications.
